About Us

At Angels for Paws Rescue & Sanctuary, we take in the dogs others overlook—those who’ve spent months or years in shelters or on the streets, the shy, the misunderstood, and the ones left behind. Most aren’t “unadoptable”—they’ve just never been given the time, training, or care they need to succeed.

Angels for Paws Rescue & Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs that have been overlooked, misunderstood, or repeatedly passed over—regardless of breed or background. This includes dogs who have spent the longest in shelters, those who are fearful or shy, and those who often fall through the cracks in traditional shelter systems due to misconceptions, lack of resources, or time constraints.

We understand the complexities of working with dogs who display challenging behaviors in shelter environments. Most of these behaviors stem not from aggression, but from stress, lack of training, and unmet needs. Unfortunately, overcrowded shelters often lack the capacity to address these challenges, leaving many dogs at risk of extended stays or euthanasia.

At Angels for Paws, second chances are not just an idea—they are our mission. We provide comprehensive care that includes medical treatment, daily enrichment, consistent structure, and targeted training to set each dog up for success in their forever home. Through our partnership with Phantom K9, every dog receives professional, individualized training designed to address their specific needs, build confidence, and strengthen their ability to thrive in a home environment.

Our work extends beyond rescue—we are creating a safe haven where no animal is rushed, every dog receives the care they deserve, and rehabilitation is a priority. With the right environment, the right training, and the right support, we believe every dog can succeed.

Trap - Neuter - Vaccinate - Return

Angels for Paws extends its mission to include community cats in Maricopa County through our Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program. By trapping, sterilizing, and returning stray and feral cats to their habitats, we prevent overpopulation and improve their welfare. Our dedication to TNR reflects our commitment to creating a more humane environment for all animals.

Join us in our mission to make a difference. Together, we can rewrite the narrative for dogs facing euthanasia and provide them with the love and understanding they deserve.
